Joanna mATHENY

Joanna is a New York-based actor and singer from Long Island, and is a member of the Actors' Equity Association. She holds an MFA in Musical Theater Performance from The Boston Conservatory at Berklee and a BM in Vocal Performance from Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam.

Joanna is a versatile performer with extensive experience in both musical theater and opera. She has toured throughout Long Island and New Jersey, most recently performing as Vicki in "A Grand Night for Singing" with Plaza Theatrical Productions.

 

Joanna is also a passionate teacher and music director. She is currently on the voice and piano faculty at the Long Island Studio of Music, and serves as music director for Plaza's Theatre in Residency program. In addition to teaching private lessons, she has led workshops in audition techniques, acting, music, and dance. Joanna loves sharing her passion for music and performance with students of all ages.
